Responsibilities:

  • Level design and testing.

  • Iterating on the title's core concept and narrative direction.

A Scout wakes up in the Australian bush, lost and alone after his troop has left him behind. Players must follow their phone to try and find reception before the battery runs dry and they're stranded for good.

We created Scout in just 3 days at the 2018 Melbourne Global Game Jam, under the theme 'signal' we aimed to capture an atmosphere of loneliness and isolation with very few mechanics given the limited development time.

 

Shortly after release the game was featured in PC Gamer's 'Top Free games of the week' section, leading to an influx of itch.io downloads and inspired the team to get together again for the following year's Global Game Jam.
